EALING BOROUGH COUNCIL

The Harp Road conversion is a harmonious blend of history and modernity nestled within the distinguished Cuckoo Housing Estate—an interwar London County Council masterplan. This surviving estate showcases the architectural finesse of a bygone era, embracing the elegance of traditional garden suburb design. Characterised by small groups of terraces, red brick structures, and thoughtful spatial arrangements, the estate reflects the vision of Raymond Unwin.

Novate undertook the commission to enhance Harp Road, a 2-bedroom house within this historic estate. The project involved the addition of a bedroom and ensuite, coupled with a ground-floor extension to accommodate a new kitchen.

With meticulous planning that respected the conservation context, Novate seamlessly managed the construction, preserving the estate's integrity while infusing contemporary functionality into this timeless setting.
